Cool, CaliMan. Thanks for sharing that. A lot more rippin' slide than on the album version for sure. Gram sang that well too. He had one of those shaky voices, that was a little sketchy sometimes - not the best pitch control ya know.

That's one of my favorite discoveries in the last year.

Purely accidental too.

When I wrote Neil Flanz, he told me it was two Electro Harmonix distortion units running at once that he plugged his lap steel guitar into.

That sound is some of the most haunting slide I've ever heard.

I was expecting pedal steel - then I noticed it wasn't and figured it was lap steel. Sneaky Pete used to used fuzz on his pedal steel too with Gram back in the Flying Burrito Brothers days.
