urbanmike Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Hi guys, I have an SJ-200 and I'm wonderin what size my bridge pins are for future reference. I know the size is "2A" but I'd like to know specifics. Anybody have specific diametric measurements of Gibson bridge pins? Hopefully A, B, and C:
guitarstrummer Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I've always ordered size 2A and they've worked for me, however others have had different experiences. You might refer to this website for the underskirt measurements. The 2A is .220". http://www.guitarsaddles.com/products.asp I don't believe that Gibson tapers their bridge pin holes and they actually use a smaller taper than the 2A (which I believe is a 5 degree taper). However, size 2A has always worked fine for me in a variety of Gibson acoustic models.
