j200355 Posted December 16, 2010 Share Posted December 16, 2010 Hey everyone, Picked up an EJ-200 today at my local music store for $400. They couldn't tell me much about it as the guy in charge wasn't in today but apparently he used to work at epiphone or something... It says "Elvis Presley Prototype 2" on the truss rod cover and "EJ-200E PROTOTYPE ELVIS PRESLEY MODEL 2" on the label inside. It doesn't have Elvis Presley inlaid on the neck which I'm kinda pleased about! It plays real sweet and sounds awesome. Anyone seen one before? I've seen them before, maybe not this exact rendition, but the populuxe graphics appear to be OEM. Not sure if "Prototype 2" means it's a one of a kind or not. Maybe KSDADDY can shed some light.
