My dad left me this Gibson acoustic when he died. Any ideas what it is, what it's worth, etc . . .

the number on the neck is 22928 31 best I can tell . . .

A full frontal pic or more shots in general would help greatly. From the pic you supplied, I am guessing a pre 1955 LG-1. Or possibly an LG-2(if the top is X-braced) Several things need to be established for dating and identifying a guitar. The headstock logo,binding,bracing,inlays,wood etc.

It appears that the bridge has been replaced/reglued? And possibly the pickguard also? If so, that impacts the vintage value also.
