rotosoundz
I recently purchased a Spirit XT-2.....Really great instrument!!!! I would compare this neck somewhere between a Rick 4001 and a Hofner 500/1 Beatle. I am very pleased with the low clean action and actually prefer the wood construction over the original graphite. Wood just seems to have better tone. What I am curious about is whether Steinberger (or an aftermarket company) is making stainless steel Jaws, adjustment screws and headstock string holder...I think they'd be a major improvement over the stock equipment....Resulting in increased sustain...improved tuning and tonal qualities. This is a fantastic bass and for $399, it was a steal......the enclosed gigbag works great....but for $69 a great hardshell case is available....It's made for the Synapse, but fits the Spirit perfectly.
