  6. The guitar looks original to me too. Machine heads and nut were probably exchanged indeed and covers were probably taken off. Don't see the reason also for him stringing the strings over the stopbar? Anyway; this model was issued for the Uk in 2012, it looks like that one: •AAAFlamed Top (On Premium Plus skus) •CompoundRadius Rosewood Fingerboard •60sNeck Profile •New“Modern”WeightRelief •Switchcraft® output jack/ Locking Grover KidneyTuners •DualBurstbucker Pro Pickups/Tone Pros TOM and Stop Bar •2Push/Pull Volume –Splitsfrom humbucker tosingle coil. –Improvedfrequency tuned coil tapping for a fatter single coil tone, and better outputbalance. •2Push/Pull Tone –PhaseSwitch –PureBypass takes the bridge pickup straight out the jack.
  7. Hey Mike, A few hours should be enough, and let the room in which you unpack the guitar heat up slowly. See also here, it happens if you immediately open the case after you have been outside in the cold: My instrument has small cracks in the finish – what causes this? Is it covered under the warranty? This is known as 'finish checking'. This is a result of the instrument being subjected to a rapid change in temperature or humidity. In most cases it happens in winter when a chilled instrument is exposed to warm air. The cracks are a result of the wood expanding faster than the lacquer. Since we have no control over the environmental conditions surrounding the use of the instrument we cannot cover this type of situation under our warranty. 10. We do give 2 years warranty on our guitars, but when you remove the gforce tuners the warranty is voided also we can send you one Gforce machine head though if you need one, no problem.
  11. The serial number refers in our database to a 1963 ES-335 block reissue, 50th anniversary, VOS, in historic burst, with nickel hardware, from 2013, made by the Memphis division.
  12. Hi, You would first need to click on "reply" to a post and then on "click to attach files". Kind regards, Stijn

  13. Hi, I just placed a message. Kind regards, stijn

  14. Hi George, Unfortunately we don't have any wiring schematics available for the S-800. Sorry for that ! Kind regards, Stijn

  15. The guitar looks original to me. The serial number is registered here also as an Epiphone Chet Atkins CEC in antique natural, with gold hardware, but as a factory second (meaning with a small blemish, but technically in order), from 1996, made by the Epiphone division. You can find the specifications in the attached file and although they are from 1998, they should be the same. Kind regards, Stijn
  16. Hi, The serial number does not really fit into the normal serial number configuration. The very first Chet Atkins Ce models came with a different serial number (one letter and 3 digits), but this one is strange. If you would like me to identify the guitar, please send me or post the following pictures: * Photos of the instrument in JPG format as an attachment (please limit to 2MB total size for all pictures together, as a bigger total size may not reach us) – full front, full back, as well as close ups of the front and back of the headstock, with the serial number clearly visible. Also of any inside label that the instrument may have. I can only give you information on how/if the serial number is registered here together with the above mentioned pictures of the instrument, for security reasons, but then I can also send you more information about the specifications of the instrument. Kind regards, Stijn Vergeest Gibson Europe Customer Service 00800-4GIBSON1 00800-44427661 www.gibson.com
  17. Yes, I would be able, but we would need the following pictures please:
