aymeric22
I do like the middle position of 345/355 stereo... out of phase sound. A 349 doesn't exist yet. Did somebody try to reverse the neck pickup of a 339 ? May be the out of phase sound would be too thin on a 339...
rocketman
Not me, but that's a pretty neat idea.
aymeric22
Well...I did it (put a push/pull for out of phase option). Here are some samples (amplitube) : With a Deluxe Reverb : My link Same setting adding a tube screamer : My link With Orange amp : My link
Sproggie
Thanks for sharing this. I've been thinking about this for some time. I've got a pair of out of phase Bare Knuckle PG Blues pickups and I've waiting for delivery of a Jimmy Page wiring kit (4 switched 500K pots and orange caps) so I can have out of phase and humbucker/single coil options. I've got a LP copy that I can experiment on first before deciding whether or not to mod my ES-339.
aymeric22
I find it more expressive in out of phase than a LP. But you really have to decrease both tones (neck and bridge).
