I have a '95 ebony that is by far the best sounding guitar I've ever heard......noticeably better than my '07 Silverburst LP Custom and blows away my Dean M. Schenker signature V. Back in '95, I could swear that I read it was '57 Classics, but from what I've been hearing, that doesn't sound right.
