Wildbird5150 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Okay, so here it is a Custom Les Paul with a single P90. Looks cool, I bet it sound even better but I have never seen anything like it. I once had a single P90 Goldtop that was from the 90s I guess and it sounded fantastic but had a lot of issues so I had to sell it. Tim Plains Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 It's just a regular modern Custom but with one single P-90. That's really all there is to it. I agree that it looks really, REALLY cool but I wouldn't buy it. It's a novelty item. If I was looking to spend that much money on a P-90 Custom, I would buy the '54 Black Beauty. They cost around the same as that one (don't look at the gibson.com price) and even less if you shop around. You're not limited to just one pickup and the '54BB is historic - solid-body, long neck tenon, better wood. http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-Custom/1954-Les-Paul-Custom-VOS.aspx
Wildbird5150 Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 I know what model you are talking about, it's in my list of future purchases.
