My 335

There is nothing that can be told from this serial number alone. The 9XX,XXX numbers were used in multiple years (68, 70, 71, 72 and possibly others). Photos and a more detailed description would help, but the six-digit serial number system is a complete mess. Things like the presence (or not) of a "Made In USA" stamp and/or a volute on the back of the headstock will narrow it down a little.

Your best bet is probably going to be the potentiometer codes, and getting the numbers off them in a 335 is not an easy task, and many times the numbers are covered by ground wire solder. By using a small mirror and a flashlight you should be able to see the bottom of the pots through the f-hole. You're looking for what is generally a seven-digit number, most likely starting with "137"

Post this additional information and I'm sure we can tell you what you want to know.
