karine_plays
(All were tested at Vol 10,10 Tone 5,5 Both Pickups. Through a Marshall MG Series 15CD on clean with NO effects pedals) Was this done as a blind test, or did you know which guitar was being played each time? Gary Moore Tribute
Was this done as a blind test, or did you know which guitar was being played each time? It was done by ear but I did know which I was playing. This test cames down to SOUND the guitars produced. (They can look like ****, but play awesome) So I take little account of how it looks when its purely an audio test. I went back and forth numorous times to double check things, I have quite sharp hearing so I know when its even slightly out of tune for example But it was a test to see for Richness, Depth and Duration of a sustain (Fortunately none of these suffer from vibration & muddy pups as they have all been setup properly) One thing is abundently clear tho a 50's wiring setup DOES brighten the tone of the output. OK. back to the opinions of others ( I love this forum)
sdjjadk
I setup my own guitars and I think that my Epi. plays just as good as my Gibby's.
