I just purchased my 1st LP standard (as it happens in desert burst, same as yours)in June of this year, and I wouldn't be happy if I suddenly found a crack, cosmetic or otherwise, suddenly appear. The replacement guitar plays better and has a deeper tone to it.. I have had it for over a year and it has a slight crack in the same location, but very light.. I'm keeping this one..
