mlamarche
It was found in my friend's garage...from what I know it was purchased at an Army PX store in Vietnam during the Vietnam war....The strings on it are black and feel like nylon..probably original... Anyone know model, year, about what it could be worth thanks for any help...Serial # on back of headstock is 005185
Grog
It looks to me like a 1967 EB-3. The 2011 VG Price Guide lists value from $2,500 to $3,000. Watch Ebay & listings from music stores that post their stock on line to see what people are trying to sell them for & what they are actually selling for. pfox14
Definitely an EB-3 that has a lot of potential if you clean it up.
mlamarche
when you say clean it up, do you also mean re-paint or just shine it up the way it is... the back paint is really peeling off near the bottom of the guitar ....thanks again guys.... Grog
You should be able to do a lot to clean up the chrome with chrome polish (Semi Chrome, etc..). Leave the finish alone............. just polish it with a quality guitar polish. I'ts worth more leaving the finish origonal.
