Speaking of not bonding with a guitar, when I finally acquired a high level ax it was a Fender Strat Deluxe in flawless condition. I played it for 6 months and it just never felt right in my hands at all, eventually sold it and got my SG Standard and I'm happy as hell now, and happy to be here as well!

welcome to the forum tom B)

my first "high level" axe was a fender strat usa deluxe with lace sensor pups. i bought it from my then guitar teacher...again i sold it about 6 months later because it just didn't grow with me, it was more of a lust at first sight purchase than a long prosperous marraige.
