stein Posted May 14, 2011 Share Posted May 14, 2011 You would love it here in Portland, Or. Sounds just like that here all night. I remember seeing him here many years ago, before he "made it". He hasn't changed, either. His guitar playing, and his take on the blues, is representative of what we get to hear any night of the week. And these cats (including Cray) actually sound like that and better in person. And, I should add that the guys (and gals) who come from seattle to play here, they sound and do just the same. One of these days I will learn this computer stuff and be able to link and stuff, but if you wish, google you some Paul Delay, Curtis Salgato, Lloyd Jones, Kinzel and Hyde.... If then you want some mind blowing guitar, try Jim Mesi, Terry Robb, and Big Monti Amondson. I would add that Stu Kinzel (see above) is maybe one of the best slide players alive, but I don't know of any recordings that have captured that.
