milod Posted May 30, 2011 Share Posted May 30, 2011 Actually Kottke is perhaps in ways one picker I actually envy a bit. It ain't 'cuz he's a better picker, which he is. Instead it's cuz he managed to carve out a mostly solo career doing his own thing, his own way, and remained entertaining as a performer regardless of venue with his own perspective on music and humor. I wish I could resemble that latter a bit more. But as I've said, I have the intensity to develop skill... just no talent at all.
