brannon67
Does anyone have or tried the Phil Jones AG100 Cub amp? If so, do you like it, and is it worth the $500? Sound quality, ease of use, etc?
Gio
Hi Brannon, as you might remember from a previous thread, I have it and love it ! Loud enough for rehearsal, I think it can be used for gigs in cafes and small bars. It's very lightweight and it comes with a great gigbag. Incredibly easy to use: once you set the input level switch you have a basic lo / mid / hi EQ and volume (obviously...); nothing more. It takes a few seconds to adjust it to the playing situation. The best thing is its transparent / neutral sound. This is an honest review: In my opinion it's well worth the money. But PJB has added a new version with 2 inputs (one is for mic): http://www.philjonespuresound.com/products/?id=126 . I will buy one, as soon as I "recover" from the purchase of a Fender 50's Road Worn Stratocaster.
