Lefty Guy
I recently returned from my annual Bluegrass "fix" at Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp in East Tennessee. I have to admit it was something of a Gibson-free zone & I only spied one other than mine, a nice sunburst J-185 which someone had brought along as well as their Martin. Loads of Martins & Collings, even a few Taylors but just the 2 Gibsons. The guitar teachers were: Dan Crary, Beppe Gambetta, Mark Cosgrove, Jim Hurst, Jeff Jenkins, Kenny Smith, Mike Kaufman & Uwe Kruger Here are a few photos of a wonderful week of music. I would highly recommend the experience, even if you're not a Bluegrass nut - learning, listening, playing & talking music 24/7 is just amazing.....& it would be nice to see some more Gibsons next year! http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d79/ghchill/SKAK%202011/ Here's a link to the Kamp brochure: http://www.flatpik.com/kamp-online-brochure

Aussie, I suspect there are more Gibson at week 1 of the Kamp, which is classed as "old time & traditional" as opposed to week 2's "Bluegrass" theme. Any chance you might make it one year?
