From the single underexposed photo I would say what you have there is an L-50 from 1954 ("X" is the year code for '54). Gibson made and sold thousands and thousands of these guitars. They are not valuable, or collectable, but they can be nice "players" guitars and sell for between $700 and $1000 depending on condition, playability, etc.

I don't think that's an L-50. L-50's went from dot fingerboard inlays to trapezoid inlays circa 1946. So, if this dates to '54, it's probably an L-48.
