bmckeen
Hi, i just acquired an original 1953 EB1 bass. It is in pretty shape but it is missing the pickguard. I know it will be pretty much impossible to find an original but I wanted to see if anyone might have suggestions on how to get a replacement. Any way to get a template for it so i could have one cut? The other problem I know i will have is that the original was a single ply brown plastic which i'm sure will be impossible to find. Any suggestions? thanks...

bmckeen
i was able to get a template so now I can get a replacement cut but I want to try to use the original material as close as possible. I was told Royalite was originally used for pickguards from that era? Anyone know anything about that? Any suggestions on where I could try to locate a sheet? Any help is appreciated. thanks...
