ES 335 Fat Neck

I had a Fat neck and it was a killer guitar.

At the time, it replaced a Historic 63 Block, and the Fatty was a better guitar, IMHO.

So what did I do?

I sold it.

Recently went shopping for a new 335 and found a fabulous 335 Dot. I gotta tell ya, the newer 335s coming from Gibson have been very good and quite consistent (something I would never had said in the past).

A fat neck anything can well suit many players

I have slim and fat neck guitars and they each have their good points

The only way is to try one out

Anything '335' is for many people bound to be special....

Hi Versatile,

I also have slim and fat neck guitars and enjoy both. In the end for me it's all about the particular guitar. Some guitars are great.

I have a '59 Reissue 335 which has a fat neck and I really like it. I have a '63 Block 335 which has a more slimline neck and I really like it but for different reasons. I'm guessing but I do think that the fat necks contribute to greater sustain and may add tone! But as I said I'm guessing!
