MojoRedFoot Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 The Strat Plus actually. There was a model called the Plus Deluxe, which had HSS Lace Sensors and a flame maple veener. The Plus series was the predecessor of the American Deluxe series. The 88-90 ones are best. They have real alder bodies, not filled poplar or poplar with a veener. The ealry Strat Plus Deluxe still had SSS (blue-silver-red) config but Ash body. Mine is a 1989. After 93, the Strat plus deluxe added a FR strat style bridge (the the double locking one). Strat Ultra had thr HSS with split coil. Those had the option of an ebony fret board too and the flame tops. Regular Strat plus had all gold SSS and alder I think.
