Alan189
Hi folks, I recently installed a frequensator on my Sheraton II and I'm now looking into swapping the pickups out for Mini's. Has anyone does this before? I'm looking for advice before I go ahead with ordering some parts... And, I'm going to need to fill gaps left by the original sized humbuckers. I'm trying to get my sheraton to look like an original 1965 one! My Sheraton was made in Korea, Unsung plant in 2008 and it plays flawlessly! :-) Heres a pic: Cheers

Alan189
Yea, I was going to go for the mini pick up rings as well as the pick ups rather than a conversion :D
LongMan
Yea, I was going to go for the mini pick up rings as well as the pick ups rather than a conversion :D The mini humbucker rings are almost half an inch narrower than the full size rings. Good luck with filling up the holes (both from screws and pickup cavity). The original pickguard won't fit either with mini humbucker rings. I fear the guitar will more look like a mess than an original '65 Sheraton. Sorry to say, but that starts already with the left over inserts from the stop tailpiece. Saw a Casino the other day that were converted to full size humbuckers, then for sale the guy put back the original P90s. You could see all the screw holes from the rings, and even part of the humbucker cavities, although the P90s are significantly wider than mini humbucker rings. I suggest to think twice before you really start that project.
