reddry Posted December 15, 2011 Share Posted December 15, 2011 Hello, I would like to buy a second hand guitar Gibson ES 446.The serial of the guitar is CS9465.I was unaable to discover from Gibson serial number (I've read from Gibson site) if this guitar it's an original one. I would highly appreciate your help for a right decission. Are there another tips and tricks in order to see if this guitar is original or not(kind of wood,serial stamped or not etc)? First off, email the serial number to service@gibson.com and they should be able to give you a description of the guitar: model, color, etc. If the guitar matches the description Gibson has in their records for that serial number, you're in the ball park and then you can check for red flags. .
