I do a lot of hybrid picking and switching between pick playing to fingerstyle by tucking my pick away between the first-and-second knuckles of my index finger, so the F1 wouldn't work for me (or, rather, would work counter-intuitively for me). It's a good idea for a player who is strictly rhythm or flatpickicking. Although, would the leading edge of the pick go blunt? I burn through a couple of picks over a 2hr gig due to them going blunt...I like a good, sharp pick with as-new player feedback. But I'm a fussy swine so this wouldn't apply to all!
