throstur Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hi folks I bought a set of what is said to be Burstbuckers Pro. The seller claims these are original pups taken from a 2005 Les Paul Standard; hence, Burstbucker Pro´s. Now, what strikes me as strange is that one of them measures 7,9 Ohms, which could be normal for the neck pup, but the other measures 13,7 Ohms which seems way to high for a Burstbucker Pro bridge pup. I thought the bridge was supposed to read approx. 8 - 9 Ohms? Both seem to be Nickel covers and underneath both of them is stamped into the metal; PAT NO 2.737.842.
Ricochet Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 BB Pros have an output similar to BB1 and BB2. Respectively and approx. 7.5 and 8.0K. Could be a 498T at 13.4KO
