ballcorner
The guitar is called Pikasso, or something like that - and it is the creation of Canadian luthier Linda Manzer.
TommyK
It is known as a Harp Guitar. They were quite popular in the early part of the last centry. Gibsonmad a model R and a model U. This one is a modern version, albeit more complex. The aforementioned Gibson models only had two sets of strings. This one appears, as seen in the later pans of the video to have at least 4 sets of strings. Two have evident necks, the other begins at about where his chin is then goes down to his.... The fourth looks to cross the lower bout at an oblique angle. He strums these for that high glisando. Really, really cool instrument. Harp Guitar might not be the exact name for this particular specimine, but that's what I'd call it. And this one's electrified.
