snowbum007
I have a delima and I am wondering what the collective opinion is for this. I purchased a set of Duncan Pearly Gates and was going to put them in my Epi Les Paul Custom. I have a set of GFS VEHs in it and I just don't love them. I also have a Dot with GFS Vintage 59s that I am not in love with as well but a little more than the Les Paul. I thought I would try a set of Duncans and after listening to sound clips and reading I decided on the Pearly Gates. As I mentioned I was going to put these in the Les Paul but started wondering about the Dot. The Dot is tricked out with push/pull pots and I read somewhere that the Pearly Gates sound pretty good in single coil mode. Anyone have any experience with these pickups in both or one of their guitars? I still leaning towards the Les Paul since it is an easier swap but I would like hear some opinions. Thanks, Kurt
Blueman335
PG's are made for LP's, you can't go wrong, but they're great in a 335 too. (sorry I'm not much help).
LPDEN
Based on what you presented, I'd put them in your LP.
