bloozeguy
The last Epiphone catalog listed 2 models bearing the name of Mexican singer/songwriter Joan Sebastion (no, not John Sebastian--I had to look twice, too!). Nobody's had much of anything to say about these here. Anyone out there played one yet? How'd they do? Just curious.
bloozeguy
OK, still trying to stimulate some conversation, here! A buddy suggests that these look a lot to him like Epi's attempt at cloning the Gibby 165s and/or 185s. He posted a pic of the 165, and, well, yeah, it kinda looked like it (I know the side/back wood is different). Any takers?
ne_buddy
Huh, never heard of 'um, but watched the video, and they look killer. http://www.epiphone.com/News/Features/News/2012/Epiphone-Honors-Joan-Sebastian.aspx
abbeyroadman
Hi - I played one yesterday at a local GC. Looks and feels like a down-sized jumbo. The neck was small, comfortable and easy; action was nice and low. The sound was less than I expected/preferred, doesn't have the presence as say a DR500MCE. I prefer the DR500MCE. Also the styling - it stands out, not for me. Regards,
