stratmansblues
I got a guitar in a trade with changed pickups. It is a 2001 Gibson Les Paul Classic. The pickups have chrome covers. I am not seeing many aftermarket Gibson pickups with the silver braided wire and Gibson logos on them. Can you help me id them? Thanks in advance. marvar
There are very few pickups out there that you can identify just by looking at them- they almost all look the same- what you need to do, is take a DC resistance reading, and post what the numbers are- that could help us determine what you have- Almost all Gibson pickups have silver braded wire, until very recently- when GC had a run of 4 conductor pickups made. I haven't looked inside a new Gibson that has coil tap, so I don't know what they are using these days.
