bigmart
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I need some advice. My Les Paul is of moderate age, 1989 & as such the Plastic Hardware has aquired a nice aged Cream colour. The Pickup Ring on the neck pickup has cracked so I purchased a replacement which, being new is a little too bright for the rest of the guitar. Can anyone suggest a good method of persuading the new item to match the rest of the Hardware. I have considered soaking in Tea or Coffee but am concerned that the new colour wouldn't be permanent. All suggestions gratefully received. bigmart I originally posted this in the main forum but realised my mistake so re-posted here
retrorod
Yes, tea, coffee or brown shoe polish should tone it down!
retrorod
Take a little steel wool to it.... before and after the tea! Experiment! They are cheap!!
