Anhedonius
New guy here, thanks in advance for any info. The Gibson serial number article says my LG-0, 804562, is from EITHER '66 or '69. (The article says this general period was a very confusing one for Gibson SNs.) I wonder which year's model I've got. It has an adjustable bridge, but I can't find info on which years included the adjustable. (Well, it had an adjustable bridge until I had it removed.) Anyone know what years the adjustable bridge was available? Any other clues to which of these two years mine is from? Thanks.
j45nick
A photograph of the top of the guitar might help us pin this down better.
zombywoof
Both the 1966 and 1969 LG-0s came with the ADJ bridge so that will not help you much. As far as telling the difference, I believe the 1966 guitars have a reddish screwed on pickguard. It seems to me that the 1969 guitars had black screwed on pickguards. I can't say though, if this was an across the board spec change or not.
