clarkuss
Not seen any dots sell for that much on ebay in the UK recently. I've owned 3 second hand dots and don't think I've ever paid more than £230 all in.
Jayyj
Sold on Ebay and listed with a Buy It Now on Ebay are two very different things - I remember when I was in the market for a Casino there were two listed on Ebay with Buy It Nows for £399, when you could buy one new from any of the bigger dealers for £429. For all I know those two are still there - they certainly were when I looked three months later. The trouble is, one person list their guitar for over the odds, the next guy looks on Ebay to see what they're selling for then lists his at the smae price, then everyone else thinks "wow, I can get that much for that Epi I don't play anymore?", lists theirs and suddenly Ebay is full of overpriced guitars that don't sell. Having said that, I've not looked at Dot prices for a while - it's a staggeringly good value guitar if you can get them new for £289.
clarkuss
There's a seller on ebay who sells a lot of Epiphone guitars (all the pics with the epi headstock as the main pic) and he always has a BIN or Make Offer and his starting price is always way above what an auction normally goes to... Alan189
Yea good shout. The seller with all headstock pictures is the one I am mostly talking about. His prices are way over and beyond what I'd ever pay, especially when it has no warranty etc as they not authorised Gibson dealers. New from GuitarGuitar and Andertons etc is around the £279 mark which is insane, really. I wish the Dot had neck binding though, thats the only reason I'm not getting one. I know they have Dot Pro's listed on the Epiphone site but I've yet to see any of those appear in my local shops! Anyway, I would much prefer a Epiphone ES-355! :-)
