lespaul94 Posted March 23, 2013 Share Posted March 23, 2013 I really need help deciding which guitar is better? The epiphone special I with dual P-90 pickups and a worn black finish. Or the Epiphone LP Junior "Custom shop", which I already have. It has a single humbucker pickup. I want it as an overall good guitar and who knows I might play on stage one day with it. So which guitar is a better bang for the buck? Both 99$ btw. I already have the jr in white and I can't decide if the special I p90 will be any better. Bluemans335 Posted March 23, 2013 Share Posted March 23, 2013 They're both entry level guitars, so you're not going to see an improvement in quality with the Special. However, between the two of them, I'd definitely take the Special. Epiphone's P-90's sound better than their cheap humbuckers, and it's got two PU's, which gives you more tone options.
