Guest AZLP
Hello. I bought this Les Paul about a year ago and was told it was a Studio Swamp Ash. I recently looked online and confirmed it is not. Now I don't know what the specs are at all. I know it's a 2014. The serial number is 103640302. Any and all info would be appreciated. Thank you! http://imgur.com/a/9VRuK
Rabs
Hmm interesting one.. From what I can see online... The serial number you gave is a 2014 but there was a 2013 model called a Les Paul Studio VG Flame top... From what I can see that's what you have but theres not much info out there about them. You should email the serial number along with full body shots front and back and close ups of the headstock front and back to Gibson Customer Service.. They should be able to let you know. Thanks in advance. Your guitar was made in Indonesia on December, 2013 Production Number: 2743 if you can post the specific model (standard, custom, pro, etc.) will be able to tell what pickups. or you could remove the screws on the rings and flip them over. Rabs
Thanks! I just spotted this.. Is this the right one? Does it have a maple neck? (it does look like the control knobs have been changed on yours though) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gibson-Studio-Electric-Antique-Natural/dp/B00FEICTWA Not the same colour as yours but I think the same model so you can find specs on it here https://www.gak.co.uk/en/gibson-limited-les-paul-studio-vg-flame-top-fireburst-satin/100571 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/gibson-les-paul-studio-vg-flame-top-electric-guitar FEATURES Mahogany body with œmodern weight-relieving and flame maple top Vintage gloss finish 24.75" scale mapleneck shaped to a ˜60s Slim Taper profile Granadillo fingerboard dressed with trapezoid inlays Tune-o-matic bridge and stop-tail '57 Classic pickups with coil-splitting Individual volume and tone controls, 3-way pickup selector Grover vintage-style tuning machines Pretty unusual LP you have found there, I like it quite a lot.. Yep that looks just like it except for the control knobs. Very strange about the serial number and year! I've emailed Gibson so hopefully I can find out what happened. Thanks! And what also can happen is production of a model starts say in your case late 2013 and then goes on to 2014 cos they made more or whatever reason.. So you have a 2013 model that was made in 2014.. not so unusual... Theres also a chance I could be wrong aswell.. I was only going by what I could find on the net, and its not always 100% right. I myself have a 2008 Standard that was made in 2010.. go figure :)
