  1. A number of guitars suffer from neck dive but the poor SG always comes to mind first. It really is no mystery when you look at how the "plank" is designed - it is a matter of the center of gravity. The fact that so many workarounds exist for the SG begs the question - can't the brilliant minds at Gibson figure out a redesign that avoids neck dive? For any model?
  2. I hate having the stop-bar tailpiece moving around (or dropping off) when I go to change strings on my Gibson. Is there anything that I can attach to it to prevent this?
  3. Like Alpine11, I took my new Casino to my local luthier for a complete check and set-up. He was impressed with the build quality and could find no real issues. Some intonation adjustments at the bridge and slight string height adjustment was all that it needed. Remember that Epiphone has its own factory in China that is supervised by Epiphone ( the Casinos are not made by Cort or another subcontractor). Knowing this, I would not expect that Epiphone would allow the China Casinos to be of lesser quality.
  4. I have a 2018 Casino and I am not satisfied with the machine heads that came with it. I want to upgrade, but I would like to install the upgrades myself without having to do any drilling or modification to the headstock. Does anyone know of machine tuners that would meet this requirement? Or would all upgrades require some sort of modification?
