Hi, I'd like to replace the metal mini Grover buttons on my G-00. The mini's work fine, so don't want to drill. Ideally, I'd like to get cream or white plastic buttons. I've searched high and low. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I love the new ones in the white pack. I have monels on my 00-28 right now and can't wait till they wear out. They were the only decent set the store had when I broke a string. I tried the XT's and didn't like them. I was never a D'ad guy till the XS's. I used Martin strings for a long time and got sick of the squeak.
I love the monels, have them on my Rainsong and my G-00. They sound good, they feel great. I got a pack of XS free and just put them on the G-00 and it's like a different guitar, the bass has tightened up and the upper mids are fuller. Ive gigged them twice and they have settled in. It also seems like the XS strings drive the top more. I really like them.

Thanks a lot guys. Appreciate you checking it out!

Trying out my Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface.
Recorded live to Samsung Android using DolbyOn video/audio app.
Channel 1-Inexpensive MXL condenser mic straight to Focusrite.
Channel 2-Gibson G-00 with LR baggs M80 into Zoom A1Four to Focusrite. The MXL definitely picked up some of the room guitar. It sounds like I need to let the truss rod out, there is some buzzing when I hit it hard.
I looped the intro and that played along with that through the verses. No loop in the bridge.
I couldn't get video to upload here, so if you're interested in checking out, go to

Sweet burst, nice find, congrats.

Nice J50. Love the M80, these two make a great combo

Congrats on your Epi...
Real sweet looker!

IMO, good choice. I like the M80 and M1. But the M80 is a little warmer and the active/passive option is nice to have. Look forward to your NGD post.

Sounds real good Sal!

Sweet J45 hojo! It looks to be in great condition too. Congrats and enjoy.

That's a nice sounding Taylor Sal. Warm tones, pretty dry, I like it! Fun tune too.

Love it rbpicker. Congrats... a friend of mine has a 90s version too and it's a real nice guitar.

Nice Gumbino! Thanks for sharing.

Adding to ajay's comments. I really like my G-00. The port cap he made for me is almost fitted. Still a little more sanding to do, and I must confess, for my tastes, it sounds better with the cap covering the port. It warms up the tone, a lot. Thanks much ajay.
I originally said I didn't buy this guitar because of the "Player Port", but because I wanted an affordable (for me) Gibson small body made in the US. In my opinion, it's a nice sounding walnut/spruce guitar that I can gig with.

Congrats on a nice J-185!

Joe… I sure will. Might be three weeks though. We’ll grab lunch nearby too. They said repairs are backed up, and my D15 needs more than a little love.
Sounds good!

I was there at noon! It was a nice break.
I got to watch one of the sales guys play Chet Atkins style on a Hummingbird a customer brought in; it was a treat to hear the guitar played in that way..
I also noticed the same thing at Russos I see online… fairly weak Gibson and Martin inventory, and fairly robust Taylor inventory. I watched a CasinoGuitars YouTube lamenting the same thing… “Where are the Gibsons and Martins?” Why did one American manufacturer seem to not miss a beat keeping places stocked with inventory, while others struggle? The guys at Russos tell me the lower price point Taylor’s sell out instantly.
Sal, when you go to pick up your Martin, lmk what time you're going to be there and I'll come over and say hi.

I played it today. It had a great balanced tone, and I like non-ornate guitars. I think it was overpriced though. I’m glad I got to play it.
By the way, I also played a Taylor AD17. In theory it’s $200 more, but in the wild it’s the same price. CME seems to be selling stock as used for the same price. Anyways the AD17 is also made in America, non-ornate, but actually beautiful. Seriously. And it sounded great. I know what I would have walked out with.
by the way Russos will have my MartinD15 for about a month. It will be primed, set up, with a K&K installed… and my oldest guitar will then again join its J45TV brother.
Hey Sal, were you in Russo's today, Monday? I was there around 530!

Thnx Sgt Pepper. I just want to change the knob/button. There is an adjustment screw on the button.
