I live in the Nashville area. Decembers are usually mild (high 60’s to low 40’s) and maybe a bit rainy? It’s going to be pricey to stay in the city, but if you stay downtown, most everything you’ll want to see is within walking distance.

UPDATE: I got the runaround from Sweetwater again this month, then low and behold a lefty LP Special popped up on the Gibson website this morning…. Sweetwater told me maybe December, so I canceled the order and just bought the one on the Gibson store. Does anyone have some insight on the Gibson shipping process? What should I expect?

I noticed they had some available when they raised the prices a few weeks ago. I was hopeful that that meant the one I ordered in February would soon be on its way, but nope. Still waiting. Also I didn’t feel the need to put that I was left handed because that isn’t important to the topic. I already purchased the guitar. I don’t need anybody to locate a guitar for me…. and both righty’s and lefty’s have been MIA all year long.

I hope someday you find it in your heart to forgive me for polluting your eyes with such ignorance. 😂 I would guess that the sunburst was just more expensive (at least for the les Paul’s) since the special was a student model. It could also just be preference of the owners. I was but a twinkle in the eye at that point so what to I know haha

It’s called TV yellow because it worked well with the tv cameras when television was black and white. A true white guitar would clash with the exposure and make a hot spot on the tv screen apparently…. I’m guessing the hue of tv yellow was the lightest color that wouldn’t do that.

So I bought an original collection Les Paul Special TV Yellow through Sweetwater at the beginning of February. I still don’t have it, and I can’t get anybody to give me even one bit of info on when I’ll get the guitar. I check everywhere just about every day and no one has had one all year long. Are they just not making them? Yeah yeah I’ve heard Covid has slowed everything down, but I’m not buying that excuse anymore. Is a slab body guitar and Sweetwater has had the PO in since 2020. It just doesn’t seem like they want to make any in 2021. The time wouldn’t bother me if I just knew how long it was going to be.

Same story here. I ordered a Gibson Les Paul Special TV yellow from Sweetwater in February. Still no word on when they can fulfill my order. That’s a very ridiculous amount of wait time for a slab body guitar that is production grade. It’s been almost 8 months
