  1. Anyone watch this series? I dont know how many there are but Ive watched a few now. Very cool. Mark Agnesi goes around and visits people as they show off their collection of Gibsons. Gibson owner has a shitload of guitars (130 some)
  2. Okay thanks guys. I just wasnt sure from my initial testing on that other dial. Nothing was labeled other than "fishman" Couldn't really tell much from messing with it
  3. Well yeah one is volume. Not sure what the other is First off I figured it was tone and volume like a normal electric...not telling much from the "tone" one
  4. Judging by some quick research, it appears I have a Fishman Sonicore pickup in the sound hole of my Hummingbird. Theres two dials on it. I was messing with them but cant really tell what they're for?
  5. No, it definitely resonates much more. I have an old alvarez that was my prior acoustic and it was much louder. Now its very close. I still have them both to compare.
  6. I recently purchased this bird from Reverb. I've had the guitar for 8 days now. When I received it, it had medium strings on it and it just sounded muffled to me. I decided to change them to lights after a couple days ( i read online that the new Gibsons ship with lights and they are recommended). Still after changing them , the guitar still sounded dead. The string action on the Low E was a bit high for my liking so I tightened the truss rod a bit. Still sounded a bit dead though. I recently changed picks from the purple Dunlops 1.14s and blue Dunlop 1.0s to the yellow Dunlops 0.73s and orange Dunlops 0.60s. Was better but still not there. Just today I took the guitar out of the case and WOW, it sounds so much better now. Perhaps it needed a week to acclimate?? Morale of the story- If you dont like your tone, dont be afraid to change things up and try new stuff. Im happy with my bird now! It sings!
  7. For anyone here that cares or future questions, yes those (https://reverb.com/item/63852694-new-grover-original-rotomatics-3x3-102-tuners-tulip-buttons-fits-gibson-nickel) did fit perfectly with no drilling on a Gibson Hummingbird Front: https://ibb.co/WGFdtnH Back: https://ibb.co/1zYtvSP
  8. TYPO That was supposed to say I was hoping it WASN'T a baseball bat neck I'm happy with the neck Thank you
  9. https://reverb.com/item/63852694-new-grover-original-rotomatics-3x3-102-tuners-tulip-buttons-fits-gibson-nickel Found this on reverb. Does anyone have any experience with changing these?
  10. Hello I own a 2020 Gibson Hummingbird Studio Walnut I'd like to change out the existing Grover rotomatic kidney bean tuners https://ibb.co/brDqPbV for Grover vintage tulips https://ibb.co/VDG1DC6 Does anyone know if there a direct fit without drilling? I see the current rotos have only one drill hole...so are there any tulip style ones with only one hole?
  11. I received it today, so far i love it Yes the nut has been replaced with a bone nut. The original was in the original case that came with guitar. Not sure about the saddle, I never asked him. I was sure to ask about gig bag...the guy assured me it was coming with case. Couldn't tell you about the body depth vs a standard. So far I'm very happy with it. Theres a couple cosmetic changes I want to make to it (change out truss rod cover and also change the tuners to vintage tulips)...but i'll get into that later.
  12. Thanks Got it today and been playing it for a bit. It's definitely warmer than my old Alvarez. Less tinny sounding with new strings. The neck is similar to alvarez so not a big deal there, was just hoping it was a baseball bat like an old les paul lol So far so good
