So, I have a M.I.M Fender Precision bass that I wanted to upgrade from the stock pickup. Decided I wanted to try the Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pound pickup. Got this as an early birthday gift from my Dad, since he's a truck driver and will be on the road on my birthday, which is Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to getting this installed! I also have a Puretone output jack laying around that I'm also thinking about throwing in there, too. I mean, might as well, since I'm upgrading the pickup. On the Puretone jacks, check them out if any of you haven't heard of them! Installation will be over the week or the weekend. Will post my review when installed!

He’s playing in Richmond, Asheville and Charleston, those are the closest to where I’m at. I saw him with Jason Isbell in Richmond.
I'd like to go to the Asheville show in September.

Just by coincidence his tickets went on pre-sale today for Indianapolis..I snagged a couple..I didn't even know he was gonna be around here. Looking forward to it.
I seen that last night! I'd love to go see him! He's going to be in Asheville in September! Going to try to talk my brother into going. We missed him a few years ago when he came to Knoxville.

Not the album. Just the song. Yeah its pretty good.
My bad. It's the first track off of the Fear Fun album, so I assumed you were listening to the album.

Not heard of him. Just found 'Funtimes in Babylon' and listening right now.
Great album! How do you like it so far?

I saw him in Richmond, VA a few years back on the Gods Favorite Customer Tour. He was really good.
I bet that was a great show! My brother and I talked about going to see him in Knoxville, TN in 2018, but something happened that he couldn't go, so we didn't, sadly.

Never heard of him. And as you chose not to post a clip I'll have to look him up and get back with you.

I agree with you as a person who also deals with depression and appreciates FJ Misty he is unique. I would like to see him live.
For sure. The man is for sure gifted. Musically and lyrically. He's for sure unique! Hard to describe his style. Any favorite songs of his for you? So, I'm Growing Old On Magic Mountain is my favorite of his. I mean, geez, man. I'd love to see him live, too! He came to my area a few years ago and my older brother, who turned me on to him, and I talked about going to see him, but something happened that my bro couldn't go, so we didn't go. If he ever comes close by again, we for sure plan on going!

The man has a new album coming out April 8th and I'm really looking forward to it. If you haven't heard of him, his lyrics are super deep. I'm going to open up a little about myself on here, but as someone who knows what depression is like, he has stuff I can relate to. I find this guy great and underrated.

This one. Ric 650 Colorado.
Why? Its sound is the main one. Those are mini-humbuckers (not the toaster ones that give the characteristic jangle sound). These sound more like P90s I'd say.
Its a through neck, so resembles a Firebird type build. Its also the reason for the mini HBs, like the Firebird. I get unfettered access to the 24th fret. A big reason its my favourite is the extra wide neck. Its 1.75" inches at the nut. That allows me to do more stuff. I find narrow can necks inhibit certain techniques.
I also like the look of the cresting wave upper horn.
I have another 650. An older Dakota. Its more comfortable, feels nicer and is lighter than the Colorado (which is all maple), but there's still something about this one that keeps it at no: #1
Such a sweet guitar! A local music store had one of these in several years ago, but in a greenish color. It was an amazing guitar! I loved it! I regret not brining it home.

I got wall hangers and some stands. I use Dunlop strap locks. When hanging or on a stand, yes, but not in a case. When in a case or gig bag, I'll roll the strap up and put it in the case pocket.

Sorry if this has been asked, but wanted to know what everyone's #1 guitar is on here and why? For me, it's my black 1994 Gibson Les Paul Standard. Yes, it is beat up and has a story to tell, but it's worn in and every time I pick it up it feels like an old and best friend. Not only that, it sounds great, too! For sure a workhorse! So, let's see your #1 and hear why!

Oh man!
I love the green strat and the purple Lead III.
Envy for breakfast!
😙I have had some people brag about the green Strat. It's similar to sage green, but not quite. Here is my sage green Tele for comparison.

Welcome back!
MXR makes great gear. That EQ looks like it doubles as a boost pedal, with the Gain slider over there on the right.
Nice!!
😐Thanks! I love MXR stuff. Sure does. Also has a volume slider.

I ended up getting a set of EMG 57/66 pickups for my Epiphone Nuclear Extreme Les Paul. Been curious about them for a long time because of the PAF qualities, but active. Installed them not too long ago and they are awesome! The pedal I got is an MXR 10 band EQ pedal. I have been curious about an EQ pedal for a long time. This one is great and fun to mess with. You can get a lot of cool tonal options with one. Don't know why I waited so long to get one.

Been awhile since I posted on here! Wanted to share some new recently acquired gear. Over the past couple of months. Actually, I didn't even ask for these . My Dad just surprised me with them out of the blue. Pretty much said, "I know I'm a drummer, not a guitarist. I just seen it and thought you'd enjoy. I know you didn't ask." on these and one I just got this weekend as a month early birthday gift. First is a 1 watt Blackstar head and a custom built 1x12 cab someone made and put an Eminence speaker in - can't remember which one. Now, I have played the Marshall 1 watt amps before and was very impressed. This is the first Blackstar 1 watt that I have played and it is impressive, too. The cab is great, too. The second is this Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster. I'm loving how it sounds and plays. It's a M.I.M model, but has the American Vintage '65 Fender pickups in it. The other is this '90's M.I.M Fender Strat upgraded with an American Fender bridge, American neckplate, mint green pickguard, new knobs, Fender Tex Mex pickups, and Fender locking tuners. Really sweet guitar. Kind of thinking about changing pickups, though. Not that their bad, because they're not. Just thinking about a different tone. On the fence about it, though. The other is this Fender Lead 3. This thing is so cool! Only thing I don't like about it is that you can't coil split both pickups at the same time. With the split switch, it's either one or the other. I guess that's just me being nit picky. The other guitar is a heavily upgraded M.I.M Stratocaster. Upgraded with DiMarzio Tone Zone/Chopper/Satch Track pickup combo, black pearl pickguard, 3 push/pull coil split DiMarzio pots, black Blade Runner/Super Vee tremolo, black Fender locking tuners, black Graph Tech nut, black knobs, black jack plate, black switch tip, and an upgraded string tree. Not sure if the switch and jack have been upgraded or not. Oh, and Dunlop Straplocks! I love these pickups in it! For sure sounds and plays great!

What's the difference between in-laws and outlaws? Outlaws are wanted.

Cool! Didn't know he was working on new material. I like what you posted so far. Going to have to keep an eye out for this release.

Very nice! Always loved those flamed top Strats! Been eyeballing one of those for awhile.

This came in today from Reverb. It's a 2000 Music Man Silhouette Special. Hard tail. Has DiMarzio pickups and an active silent circuit for the single coils. This is my first Music Man. Been considering one on and off for a long time. Seen this one on Reverb and thought to myself, "This is the one!". Plays and sounds great! Don't know why I waited so long to give one a shot. Going to throw some new strings on it and do some more playing.

Picked this up today. 1996 Fender Stratocaster Been upgraded with the Lace Red, Silver, and Blue pickup combo, Fender locking tuners, and a MojoTone wiring harness with a blend control. I think the guy said it's a neck pickup blender on one of the tone knobs. This guitar is awesome! The pickups are super hot. Love them! Oddly enough, I actually bought a set of these recently with intentions in throwing them in my natural '04 M.I.M Fender Stratocaster, which I haven't installed, yet. They're still unopened. Since I just got this guitar with those pickups, I may sell or trade the unopened set and go for something different in that one. Anyway, I'm very pleased with this guitar. Obviously came with the whammy bar, but also came with a hard case and the guy threw in some picks and Elixir strings. Not going to lie. Got it for $450. Going to throw some Dunlop straplocks on it later.
