  1. Bravo! I thought you did very well with this one. It's not an easy one to do well. There is sooooo much personality and flair in the original that is tough to capture while staying within one's own particular style. I have done this one a few times. I'm sure you do it much better than I do.

One thing I LOVE about the original is that big, raw, woody and edgy bass notes. I don't know if they are dubbed in or done kind of a Neil Young style thing. I've been curious how he actually gets that. Any idea?

I'm sure you've seen his original on you tube. Any idea what that tape on his guitar accomplishes?

Again, very nice job on this one. [thumbup]

  2. Hi Everyone. I've actually been on the Gibson board for a while, in total, due to a bad stretch of luck with some Epi Electrics. I've since upgraded and now have complimented my 4-ish year old Gibby LP with a new Hummingbird. Been playing for about 10-14 years, which coincided with the last 7 years of learning my Pro Tools based "home project Studio".

I look forward to chatting guitars with you guys and gals.

  3. Could this have an affect on the USB functionality as well? I get inconsistent, intermittent variable rates of static or distortion through the USB/Guitar Rig functionality. It sounds like some sort of interference. It does have a pattern like quaity at times. Here are the basic bits of information.

    • Two computers - same issue
    • Both computers Win-7 64-bit
    • Both using ASIO4ALL as instructed. One is using a more recent driver.
    • different USB cables
    • different speakers and headphones.
    • variable positions including pickup selector and the push button switch
    • different houses (not same electrical "units", in other words)
    • different Guitar Rig patches, amps, etc.
    • same issue present with amplitude.
    • Different batteries.

As you can see, I've tried quite a few things and am at a total loss. I called the support line and they told me to call some dude in South Carolina and then bring it into the guitar store across the street from where I bought it for service.
