Had a custom, short scale AJ. Definitely the loudest. Too loud. I sold it.

My favorite rock song at the moment. To me this is just unbelievably good, in so many ways. Lyrics, playing, singing, soloing, a complete package.

I’ve got an even dozen acoustic guitars. Some date back to the 20’s with baseball bat necks. Newer Gibson with more modern necks. The original G7 th capos work great for both. I of course have other capos too. I like the G7th’s the best. The only complaint would be, that they are a “little” on the heavy side. However that’s really not an issue.

I have 2 of the original G7th capos. What’s the difference besides the size. Mine work great, & I find no reason to buy another. Am I wrong?

Bwahahaha - how many times have we heard that one expressed about a new guitar. Nothing wrong with it, it is as it should be. But I keep thinking get back to me in ten years. The thing is we as players tend to evolve and with that comes the possibility that what you want from a guitar and the way you approach may change. For decades I clung to 00 size Gibsons like they were a lifeline. Today I am contemplating getting rid of the last one. Does not mean the guitar has changed or that I may not go back to them. Common sense tells me to just put them up but I have too many guitars as it is already.
But I keep thinking get back to me in ten years.
Unless I misread the post? He’s had the Dove for 18 years.

Hey brad. I have a 2007 Dove. Love this guitar! It’s one of 5 Gibsons that i’ll die owning.

There is a local guy here who uses an 18 string guitar. He told me he has had the headstock repaired 3 times.
He now tunes down 4 steps, & uses a capo.
