Was there a "reason" for the large Epi headstock?

Totally agree Hombre, that 'stock would make a killier paddle. That bein' said, that's still a pretty sweet lookin' guitar! [thumbup]

Gretsch 'stocks make Epi's look small, in my opinion.

I have that Electromatic in a double cutaway & love the headstock. I was really meaning how tall most of my Epi's headstock is. I think my 2000 something Ric 330 had a wider headstock than my Gretsch. They only made the "boat oar" version for maybe 3-4 years I think in early 2000's. Loved them both.

I agree w/ ya there, the 'stocks on my Dot & EJ are pretty tall. Wish they were more wide like the 'stocks on Gibson Acoustics or even like the 'stock on my Epi LP Jr, the 'stock on it is more square & it looks pretty sharp.
