Trying to choose between a 50th anniversary 1962 Sheraton & a Pelham Blue ES-355

That, appears to be a "stress" crack, not just "cosmetic!" [scared]

Offer them 250-300, then take it to a good luthier, and have it repaired,

properly.

Yeah, that crack looks a lot worse in the picture than when I first looked at it. I'm not wanting the guitar, but I agree another luthier needs to evaluate it. It's sad to see an otherwise beautiful guitar damaged this way, but stuff happens. Anyway, we figured out which one it is :)

The neck on the 355 is wide. I haven't played a Sheraton, it's on my gas list. [thumbup]

I guess, if you like a smaller size neck, the Sheraton would be a better choice. I haven't played too many $5000.00 Gibson's, so I don't know how the 355 would compare, but as the other post mentioned, the Sheraton feels like a "$5000.00 guitar", maybe that's a better choice. My 355 hasn't "fallen apart" yet. I did tighten the nut that holds the jack in place lol. They are both beautiful instruments.

Now I want 2 Sheratons, a red one with trem, and a natural with frequensator.. lol :) #-o[biggrin]
