gotomsdos
A pic of non-Banner Script logo Gibson J-50 is showing up ! When we talked about Bob Dylan's J-45/50 (do not remember which thread, so post a new one), a member here (seemingly tvguit ?) said that he never saw a non-Banner Script logo Gibson J-50, so he agrees on that what Bob Dylan had is a refinished J-45. Now I bumped one: http://www.bannergibsons.com/gallery/travismacraej50.jpg See if it is.

zombywoof
It was my understanding that the J-50 was dropped in 1943 and not brought back until 1947. Certain models such as the LG-2 though bore the script logo into 1947 so it is not impossible that a script logo J-50 came out of the factory that year. Knowing whether the nut width is 1 3/4" or 1 11/16" might help.
michaelsegui
That pic is of a banner J-50 that Folkway Music had a few years back. The banner was photoshopped out.
