In this part of Florida there isn't a lot of age discrimination because everyone is "older" (mature). So I figured why not try it?? Its pretty dis-heartening at times. However I have all of the rest of my life to make a musical connection and get back into it. Even if it means going from one lame jam to another. I've gotten lucky a couple times, and have met a few really good players, but they are few and far between. Thanks for your admiration. I've played in bar bands pretty much since 1958. I took a few years off during my time in the service. Now that smoking is pretty much done in public bars its a lot nicer.
