Solid cedar sg body?

I have read a lot of material concerning the different types of wood that are used in making guitar bodies and was wondering how good the tone and sustain would be if the body of an sg where made from solid cedar. What kind of pick ups would word best. I'm sure it would be a beautiful guitar but would it sound good? Any info would be appreciated.

Doing a little research, I found some body, top and neck cedar blanks offered here:

Here's a guitar pictured featuring Myrtlewood top and Port Orford Cedar body and neck (fretboard not specified):

Personal opinion is that if it was viable, then 'everybody' would be doing it...

Cedar and spruce are favoured as tops for classical acoustic guitars

A solid guitar made from cedar may 'echo' the less bright tone of an acoustic

With P/U choice being carte blanche as to which tone is favoured

During the 1960s Spanish luthier José Ramirez III was the first to experiment with Canadian Cedar timbers as topwood on acoustic flattops. Two decades later cedar had established and is commonly used since then. I don't see a serious hindrance for making solidbody guitars from it.
