1968 SG Junior, Special hybrid???

Hiya, just joined this formum from the UK with the hope of wracking some gibson expert brains. I have recently aquired an SG that dates to 1968. it has volume and tone pots and a vibrola that has been removed and replaced with a wrap around bridge that suggest to me (no way an expert) that it is a junior. However it also has 2 P90 pickups that are embossed with the gibson logo (which i thought suggest they are from the early 70's) The pickup selector appears to be vintage gibson, which would point me towards thinking it is a special? Weirdest of all it has an XLR output, that is now disconnected.

Can anyone hepl me determine if this is indeed a junior and also if the modifications were done in factory or aftermarket? also why would it have an XLR would this suggest that it once belonged to a recording artist?

have now included some pictures of the beauty!! that sounds like a beast

My guess is aftermarket. The tailpiece might be stock but it probably only had one pickup originally. The XLR is also probably an add-on.

The wrap around bridge looks old school like it's for a wound "G" not a solid "G" the string post would be behind the "D" and not in front of it.

yeah, only had it a couple of weeks and the previous owner had just had it restrung, all the intonation is spot on apart from that G string, so I figured it must prefer a wound string, will get round to trying at some point, seeing as how I only play power chords (obvioulsy throwing my right arm like a windmill!) along the E and A strings it hasnt bothered me too much yet, cheers
