Nut and saddle will make a difference - sometimes for the better, sometimes not. If you bought your guitar for the tone it has, then you like it. IF you change the nut and saddle you may, or may not, like the difference. That says it pretty well. One addition nobody has mentioned...changing out the nut and saddle can have a distinct new tone with the placement of the saddle on the transducer in the saddle slot. As most know, a lot of Gibsons have a Tusq saddle for the purpose of vibration transfer to that transducer. Change out to bone or another product, and that subjective tone can change for the better or in some cases...worse! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
