In my guess, the pictured damage is caused by a hard impact rather than by a drop. In case you are concerned about exposed wood, you might have it sealed by a luthier, but with nitro finish in any case. However, mahogany is fairly resistive against rot and mold growth by nature, so there's no reason for being worried that much. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
